Congrats on your good luck with the original drive. As mentioned you can easily pop out the original solid fan grill and replace with the Des Plaines etched grill. Put the Rail Master deep bass speaker under it and you are all set. I was just as happy a month ago when my RSD5 ran. However, I have 4 North Yard RS3 drive on order/in transit for my massive RS3 rebuild project. I don't really know if the original drives will run but the small bracket that the side frames attach to has broken on many of them. That threw the whole thing into limbo for about 7 years. I thought that the RRM Sharks trucks would work but the slightly larger wheelbase was too much. But now I have everything I need to proceed. More to come..
