Bill:

I guess I should have clarified things a little better. My only American 
Models-powered locomotives are F-units and one GP-9. I only mentioned them as a 
comparison to how the ALCO Models units run.

I did some reworking of the ALCO Models units, mainly the handrails and the 
exhaust stacks (the ones on the RS-3's indicate water-coooled superchargers, 
the one on the RS-2 the earlier air-cooled version), but other than that, they 
are pretty much stock. 

I would like to have done more, but have focused on layout construction and 
operation in the past few years, to the extent that time will permit.

I have some photos of them in the Files section.
