I was chatting with Dan Navarre this afternoon and he had a couple River Raisin
Models announcements I thought I would pass along...
River Raisin Models will be making a limited run of the Pullman 43-R passenger
car truck in S scale. These are the unique appearance Triple Bolster Trucks,
common under pre-War Pullman passenger cars. River Raisin will make both the
SP and NYC versions of this passenger car truck in brass. Other railroads that
used the 43-R included PRR, IC, UP, and AT&SF. The price is $69.00 a pair plus
shipping, timing looks like early second quarter 2011.
Dan also confirmed the USRA 0-6-0 switcher project is a "Go". Boo-Rim has been
given the go ahead (and money!) to produce pilot models. River Raisin is
building six different 0-6-0 versions. More information should be available
shortly on the RRM web site. The finished models should be available later
this year.
