Jace,

I realize there are MANY - almost an endless number of aspects and
interests in the hobby. For me it has always been about building the rolling
stock. For some working on the rolling stock could be priority until the
layout is started. It is a very rare person that that does rolling stock and
layout building WELL. It is an even rarer person that does rolling stock and
layout building well and IS prolific at it. Usually 1 excels while the other
suffers.

If someone is into layout planning with the complete knowledge that they are
not going to build it, so be it. Whatever you are into.. It is not my life.
But for me such activities are like planning a massive vacation when you are
Agoraphobic. I just don't understand it as I try to have something
physically completed to show for the passage of my time and effort. If you
are into layout planning for friends or as a business that is a different
story. Of course YOU are not going to build those layout, but your
activities are done so with the intent of having those plans built.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
