Didn't Model Railroader have an article years ago about rolling steam boilers 
up from brass sheet?  Maybe that would help.  Latecomer to the thread.  DJE

  You might want to test on a couple of pieces of plain .040 brass sheet before 
doing the etched roof. I'd follow the suggestion of annealing, then roll the 
roof using a metal rod or wood dowel on a padded surface (cutting mat or a 
couple of dish towels should work).
