I just added a food court to the 30th Street Station model. I posted a couple of pictures in the Penn Western folder.
The layout is 15 years old, but of course a layout is never finished. I have a large list of things I'd like to accomplish in 2011. When I designed the layout, I didn't design it for the kind of MR operations that is popular today. I've been trying to reconfigure parts of the layout so that I can actually run operating sessions some day. I have the Sn3 portion pretty well set to operate the EBT for a typical annual Fall Spectacular event. There is still much to do on the standard gauge part of the PWRR. Structures: 1- A new skyscraper for Philly. 2- The stone EBT office building. 3- Installation of a new intermodal facility. This includes a bunch of containers that I'm making out of foamcore and templates from a neat website at http://www.igshansa.de/igsdownload.html If I display the PDF at 125% and use my screen grabber, I can produce almost perfect S scale printouts of the containers. I posted a photo of some that I made in the Penn Western folder. Since the layout runs from Philadelphia to Harrisburg and emulates the PRR, I'll be trying to install catenary. I found a good article on the web on building PRR style catenary and have rounded up the necessary material. However, it will take a lot of time to do it, but the result should be neat. At times. I've been adding lighting to the layout. Much of my older rolling stock needs some maintenance. whew!
