All,
I have had some significant progress on my current layout project. More on that probably tomorrow morning. I keep forgetting to mention that once I make the changeover to the new layout my old layout will be not needed & will be in the way. It IS S-Mod, 6 sections (4 curves & 2 4 long straights.) The overall footprint is 8 x 12 with a 2 track mainlines with 39 ½ R & 42 R. Almost anything I have can run on it including the EM-1 as long as it is on the outside main. The J1 does not like it so much! There are no turnouts. It is all hand laid code 100 track. I have had it for the better part of 15 years now. If you dont have a lot of space and/or just want to see trains run past your nose this layout could be for you. http://www.lanestrains.com/Layout.jpg I also have 2 other 30 x 4 long S-Mod modules that are not officially for sale right now but could be to the right buyer. http://www.lanestrains.com/End_Modules.jpg You could easily make it 8 x 16. NO trains, buildings, or NCE equipment will be included. While it IS S-Mod I would not really call it portable because it is all 2 x 4, and ¾ plywood. It weighs a ton! It will be easily late winter or spring (possibly later) before anything will happen. I am just fielding interest now. I can deliver up to about 2 hours drive for an additional cost. Otherwise you will have to come and get it! Please reply directly with your questions or interest.
