I don’t think model trains is a big part of the overall economy for China or
the United States.

This situation is not a pressing issue in the overall picture of things, as it
was the doing of a company who decided they do not need to make model trains
for every company who wants them to make them.

I do not think the Chinese government is spending any times on this at all.

Subject: RE: {S-Scale List} Chinese molds

Making S-scale trains and claiming the molds and the product to be theirs will
do nothing to help the Chinese economy. Whatever one thinks about the Chinese
in the area of patent infringement and the like, I doubt we'll see a takeover
in this area. I am hoping that somehow a solution will be found so that we can
again see the high quality items SHS, AM, and Des Plaines have offered us over
the years.

Waiting hopefully

Tom
