I think this has to go as a very nice paint done post-ownership, such as by the present owner. However, years ago, I remember seeing a red 6-axle U-boat, I think the number was 8800 or something like that. I remember hearing of an SD40 also in red, for the executive train, though my sighting was not with the train. I never saw either unit with passenger cars. DJE
