Jace: You're right about removing everything from the underbody on the small fleet of converted gons on SHABBONA. However, I equipped them with Ace bolsters (the ones for flat underbodies) and trucks. I did the same with at least one flat car.
I used a milling tool in a Dremel to remove the AF bolster.
