Buyer beware on eBay. I have made good use of eBay, both buying and selling.

being 1/64th scale (or "S" scale) is so popular these days (in the Die-cast
hobby especially) many sellers call items "S" scale, just to make a sale,
when they are either too small or too large.

I've seen everything from 1/43rd scale to 1/87th scale listed as "S" or 1/64th
scale on eBay. Usually if you fire an "ask question" to the seller and ask for
actual dimensions, you can then judge for your self.

Then some buyers are also uneducated. about 10 years ago, I sold a few spare
ERTL tractors as 1/64th "S" scale, the one buyer threatened be with negative
feedback for selling tractors that were HO scale! Until I emailed him ( back
when eBay allowed direct email between buyer and seller) ERTL brochures that
showed the tractors as 1/64th scale. Apparently he thought that 1/43rd or
1/48th tractors were 1/64th!

Depending on the type of plastic you can "shrink" the figures. I've done it by
accident, by having figures "standing" and subject to heat, such as an
automobile in the summer, and the plastic changes shape/configuration and
becomes "fatter" Not all plastic do this, and some will tend to "run" or
"separate" but just a thought.
