You are really making some progress, Terry. Thanks for posting: it’s
motivating! I am having similar challenges with humps and dips as I am
installing track in the Ames Junction area (in my basement).

Subject: {S-Scale List} FNF was not all fun that day

I just posted a few photos in Pennsy Junction photo album. I discovered I had
a
problem on Friday when I looked at the track I had just spiked down on my upper
level. the homosote had a hump just where two turnouts met, causing a vertical
kink.

The beauty of building Fast Track turnouts is that you can easily remove them
to get to the roadbed. after removing the hump, the track was good, I flipped
the module over and did the wiring on Saturday, and ran trains Sunday evening.
