Pete,

Your trains will run on any Tomalco standard gauge track:

You could also use Shinohara track, available from Scenery Unlimited.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Scale Rail Size - Question

One of the things that the recent discussion on turnouts did achieve
was to make me realise that I don't actually know much about scale
rail sizes.

I have several AM locos with scale wheels, several SHS locos with
scsle wheels, and my intention is to buy several SSA SD45s with scale
wheels.
Regarding trackwork though, I don't like AM rail because it is brass
and SHS is unsuitable because the only switch they produce is the
#3 which is too tight for any rolling stock longer than 40 scale feet.

So, I'd like to ask a question.
First I'd like to say that it is a simple, genuine, non-controversial
and honest question, not intended to provoke any kind of heated
debate.

O.K. : what height of rail is most suitable for the scale wheels on
AM and SHS locos ?
Would it be code 100,for example, or something bigger or smaller ?

All information and opinions, on or off-list, would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Pete Molloy.
