All,
Since I making good progress on my layout expansion I have decided to accelerate the sale of my current layout. It IS S-Mod, 6 sections (4 curves & 2) 4 long straights.) The overall layout footprint is 8 x 12 with a 2 track mainline with 39 ½ R & 42 R. Almost anything I have can run on it including the EM-1 as long as it is on the outside main. The J1 does not like it so much! That is 1 of the reasons I am making the layout bigger. There are no turnouts. It is all hand laid code 100 track. I did not build it but have had it for the better part of 15 years now. If you dont have a lot of space and/or just want to see trains run past your nose this layout could be for you. http://www.lanestrains.com/Layout.jpg ** You could have trains running in an afternoon! ** I also have 2 other 30 x 4 long S-Mod modules that could be for sale. http://www.lanestrains.com/End_Modules.jpg You could easily make it 8 x 16. These modules are in good condition but could probably use some TLC to get them running. You need legs because they did not come to me with them when I bought them. NO trains, buildings, or NCE equipment will be included in the sale of the layout. While the layout IS to S-Mod standards I would not really call it portable because it is all 2 x 4, and ¾ plywood construction. It is rather heavy. I am asking $400.00 for the 6 module layout and another $400.00 for the 2 modules. **You could not build either of them for that cost.** I will not sell the 2 modules without the layout. You would pay me now and pick up at your leisure in South Jersey with a weeks notice. It is still assembled with trains and buildings on it. The corners have a 4 x 4 footprint with my famous Lane-Mod fold up legs. You should easily be able to move it all in a minivan. Load out should only take about ½ hour. I will deliver up to 100 miles in one direction for an additional cost. Please reply directly with any interest or questions you have.
