When dried, it is very hard and clear. It will not yellow. It also comes in other Brand names such as Johnson’s Clear. The AC models have been using it for years for a variety of uses. It sprays easily with an air brush. It can be brushed on. It makes a very good clear coat for decal application. It can be used to “set” decals and act as an additional glue. The AC people first starting using it as a repair agent for scratched canopies. It also is used to make the plastic canopies more transparent and clear like glass. Most people just dip the canopy in a bowl of Future, let the excess drain off and set it on a paper towel to dry. It dries in an hour or so. We use it as a glue and a coating agent. The value of it as a glue is that when dry it cannot be seen and it also will not harm the plastic. However, it is so thin, that a very strong bond is not possible. There are a few negatives. One is that it needs to cure out for about 5 or so days before dipping it in water. It will sometimes turn white when dipped in water. It will usually clear up again after a few days. Also, it is very glossy, so if it is used as a final coat, it is usually too glossy. However, for clear plastic, it is a wonderful substance. It is fairly cheap and a bottle will last forever. That is about all I can say. One just needs to experiment with it to get the hang of using it.
