Point taken. But that is exactly the point. It doesn't take a lot of effort,
only coordination, And it doesn't take a personal investment of $$ either.
Another example: River Raisin R-43 and 43-SP triple-bolster trucks, standard
on
all Pullman-Standard streamlined passenger cars in 1938, found beneath such
trains as NYC 20th Century Limited, PRR Broadway Limited, and SP Daylight.
These were stimulated by Rusty Rustermier, Jim Kindraka, and yours truly, We
gathered prototype info, gave it to River Raisin's Dan Navarre, showed Dan's
builder some examples in O scale, and the project took off. RR officially
announced these trucks at last month's O/S West.
If you look on the "S Scale Traction" Yahoo group, that's exactly how the Lake
Shore Electric and the PCC projects got started. And I had nothing to do with
those projects...
