Even tho the PVMR "S" layout(s) is/are not "pure" scale, every time it is
worked on, it becomes more scale like. New buildings are being built to
scale, operations are more scale like than before, the trains have more scale
characteristics. Animation is added at every chance, trying to make it
realistic in nature. We explain how things work, how and why we wired it as we
did, we show people the relays, "Back N' Forths", show them how we switch
from A/C to D/C to DCC, etc. We build for people's enjoyment (slipping in
education along the way), we build display layouts to captivate and
cultivate. The kids are mesmerized, the older folks, reflective. Our layouts
see
the 'Light of Day" at every opportunity, we have been in churches,
libraries, train shows, supermarkets, used them as fundraisers, etc. One
decidedly
NOT scale layout will be a carnival game this summer, won't be scale, WILL
BE FUN. EVERY time someone asks "what it is" we always answer proudly,
"S, the PERFECT gauge".

Yeah but figure manufacturers don't seem to understand that, they make way
more useless guys playing baseball or cops running after a hobo than they
do folks in relaxed realistic positions.....dave
