All,
At Ed's insistence I have just put him on moderation. He seems to need to be protected from himself. So I finally gave in, acted as he said I should and gave him what he wanted. In that vein I have no intention of releasing **anything** Ed posts -ever- regardless of the content. Pieter may but I am not. Ed unfortunately did not take me seriously when I recently let him know privately that the next time he referred to me as "the moderator" - like I am some nameless faceless slave forever indentured to be chained to my computer 24/7/365 to "herd the hamsters" - that I would have a **big** problem with him. And so I do. I do have a big problem with that. I do have a life both off the computer and outside of trains. Yesterday we walked with Pickles in a St Patrick's Day Parade with 25 over Dachshunds. ***It was a great time.*** Not according to Ed. He is free to live his life while I have to be here for the likes of HIM. Nope - not happening. So Ed is now on permanent time out as far as I am concerned. Try talking up the convention now Eddy.Type in CAPS maybe we can hear you better. The foreign aid thing was introduced by Bob Werre and WAS on topic. It had nothing to do with politics at least at first. To have Ed go off topic and talk about the Tsunami wave was interesting to me. It was a firsthand account from someone I knew. Cool- I read it and moved on. But to next post that I am not doing my J O B by allowing it to happen - no sir. This is no J O B. It is Pieter and I volunteering **when possible** to try and keep the place civil and running it with releasing new members. But the real moderation is YOUR job, not Pieter and I. We are all of the age and have the knowledge of why we are here and know the rules to play nice. You are responsible for keeping this a nice place to be - not us. You may be critical of me for my actions and/or for posting this publicly like it is hanging out the dirty laundry. That is your opinion. But no - I don't think so. I have long thought of this list and S Scalers in general as being an extended family. You just don't do your family members dirty. I gave ample warning but have absolutely lost my patience for Ed's cutesy stirring the pot. This has truly annoyed me to the point my thoughts about Ed have changed and not for the better. For anyone that knows me to think any of the above is a joke - read it again. I am done. Back to hopefully better things and S Scale posts.
