Gentlemen and (if we are so lucky) ladies:
I purchased a open Kinsman Milwaukee Express reefer kit. The kit is
missing
a member big enough to be the center beam. What should I go out and purchase?
This kit looks like a real challenge. The instructions are just one big sheet
of drawings and a few words. There isn't a parts list. As part of my modeling
notes, I will create one.
And then there are the 'modernizations' I will add: Kadee couplers; Nimco scale
passenger trucks (gauged to NASG standards); replace the 'queen post' pins with
brass Grant Line queen posts; the ladders with plastic S Helper ladders;
acrylic, non-toxic paint; and more. Once I get going, this car will be a lot
of
fun to build.
But I guess I will not start it today. (The steeplecabs are on hold while I
track down parts.)
