The last (for a week, anyway) PVMR layout was painted brown/tan,
replicating earth. Oil paint will soak in, latex will seal the surface. You
can
paint latex over most oils, you CANNOT paint oil over latex and get good
results. Bill is correct, most paint stores have "MissMixes" that may be
really available.

John,

I rep-lied to Earl privately that I am probably going to use a clear to
seal
the homasote because I cannot think of a color I want to see as long as it
will probably be until the scenery gets started. Really anything will due
but for ease of use and cleanup use something latex. If you are so
adventurous you could get the paint that was brought back or mixed
incorrectly. But again you will be looking at that color for a while..

Thank You,
Bill Lane
