Dan:

Testor's Liquid Cement for plastics should work for you. One of its ingredients
is MEK, a solvent for working with ABS. This wasn't always so, I had problems
with earlier Testor's LC, but the latest stuff seems to work very well.

In 1983(?) S Gaugian published a couple of articles on making F-7 A and B units
from AM FP-7 shells, and in 1987, a couple of articles on working with Wabash
Valley F-unit shells.
