Hi,

I have a very nice home layout and have been trying to clean it up for at
least three months. I now have a deadline of April 10th, as our Lehigh
Valley S Gauger's are coming in for their Annual Secret Project month. I
also have two models hogging up my workbench for at least two months. One is
my conversion of a AM GP35 to a Reading (Green & Yellow) GP 35, the other
finishing up a SHS Chessie Covered hopper that Stan Furmanak was working
on. We have no idea where Stan was going with this one, but Gale Hall and I
think we know. Ha!

I've finally solved the decal problem on the Reading GP35, at an expense of
at least $40.00. Larger problem was figuring out the Green and Yellow design
from looking at dozens of Reading GP 35 color shots and also reviewing
printed diagrams. Reading wasn't very consistent with their painting of
locomotives. (I'm not sure how accurate AM is with their model either.)
But, regardless, it is starting to shape up pretty nice.

As I've said before, home layouts are very nice and we've used this one hard
for at least 40 years, as is Frank Titman's, but when you get into your 80's
like Frank and I, it is a liability.

Yes, I would love to just be building models at this age.

"S"incerely,

Bill (Fraley)
