I had a couple of hours this morning to work in one of the #8 fast tracks frogs
my Dad had built and brought to me last weekend.  We wanted to see if a fast
tracks frog could be fitted into an existing #8 Old Pullman turnout.  Since the
Old Pullman frog was already isolated from the rest of the turnout for DCC
operation, I simply pulled it up and cut and fit the new one in.  This is much
like a 1:1 scale frog change.  It was successful and only took about an hour
and a half from start to trains rolling through it again.  The trains now glide
through the turnout with no chug hole and the code 88 wheel sets operate
wonderfully which was the main reason for the change.  Now, only seven more to
go...........
