I had been using a rather high end filtered & regulated power supply for the
DCC in my yard module. It could be 20v - I have to see it again. I have
since bought the recommended power supplies from NCE making it surplus. This
power supply is what I am going to use to power my switch machines. I have
not had any experience with rheostats. I was thinking about cannibalizing an
MRC pack for the rheostat to run the switch machine buss at about 6 volts.
Am I correct in that a rheostat just goes in the plus side of the 2 power
wires?

Otherwise if anyone has a good extraneous rheostat that can handle and take
20v & 10 amps down to 6 volts please let me know. I could trade you a Tech
II pack for it or work something else out.

I seemingly am going to have resistors everywhere. Some of my Hankscraft
motors are 12v but most are 3v. I wonder what the long term to the 3v motors
would be running at 6 volts if I don't drop the power down for them.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
