Both EBT narrow gauge locos, and one H& BT 2-8-0. The parts are marvelous. #12 has a built up mechanism. First: Take the plans and enlarge all of them, preferably double size. Cut the plans apart. Then group yor parts accordingly. Really study them. Any holes needing drilling you mark the drill number (size) in red (the plans show metric sizes) I convert them. The above saves a lot of time and gradualy gives you a detailed picture of what goes where. You sort of do sub assemblies. Parts are very accurate. The hole drilling realy helps. I have a New Zealand Ry Class W suburban loco ( a John Gardner kit as well) Same process but an HO gauged, S Scale loco. I followed the same procedures. The enlarged and cut appart plans. save much time. And you are not constantly searching for where you last looked for what part you are working with. Then go thru and drill all of each hole size. No jumping back and forth.
