All of the scales are nice, a lot nicer than hanging out at bars, or many other places. Even boats, a hole in the water that you pour money into! But when it comes to models of trains then it should be S scale. You realize of course that O scale takes 3 times the space as S scale. It also needs 3 times the fidelity to look right. Those "O" scale rivets are so large they stick out like a sore thumb and are very easy to count! "O" scale is okay if you live in Minnesota, on a farm, and have a barn. But then you only get 10 days of summer. The entire year is summer for me and I live in a cave! Get rid of all that Lionel 3 rail junk! Go head first into S, buy my UP brass caboose, The asking price is so low compared to the original price of $235. You also need to order 10 of the SAL cars. Several other S Scalers will love you forever if you do that, including me! J.
