I agree, John, and I'm glad I'm not the only one wo fails to see what passes as "humor" in a lot of TV advertising AND programming. I put myself in the position of the one who is being made fun of, and I would feel as hurt as that person [should].
I only watch the ads because they are shoved in my face as part of the price I pay to watch decent programming, and I don't watch ANY of the sitcoms or Law and Order type shows because of their innuendo and gruesome nature. My sense of decency won't allow it. I guess that's why my model railroading efforts have progressed so well in the last few years.
