Alan, My whole point is all that talk of various couplers and wheels is unnecessary and confusing for the S scale neophyte and does not serve to promote the scale. An article promoting HO would never present a historical overview of the evolution of the HO coupler. Why should we? S has to get out of this backward looking mentality and move on. There is a difference between remembering ones past and being stuck in it.
