All; This thread is getting old and tired pretty quickly. I gather the article was not what we might have hoped for (I will get the issue next week probably when I visit the hobby shop).
I will note that RMC, while mainly scale, has carried the monthly "Collector's Corner" colume for many years, which does in fact cover the history of model an toy trains going back to the 1930's. I doubt they woould carry it if they thought their readership wasn't interested. I'll also point out that from the descriptions I have seen here, the content isn't that different from what has often been in the NASG ad - not to open that subject, please. It's been said here in this thread and before; if you want better presentation of S, do it! RMC and MR have published Brooks Stovers' articles, and Bob Weere's. One of Brooks' articles last year even covered how to take publication quality pictures with a modestly priced digital consumer camera. Don't plan on getting "Why S is Best" in print, but articles showing interesting projects, or operations, or scenery techniques which happen to be in S WILL HELP. If you don't want to write, go to your local Prototype Modeler's event or NMRA region meetings and display your models. Huddling here on the list bemoaning what others do isn't really accomplishing anthing. Consider this a request to move on from this thread. Pieter E.
