Thursday's forgetfulness brought forth a Friday with remembrance--in 
addition to that brochure, the Scale manufacturers informal group also 
sponsored a few pages in one of the "other" scale magazines--Railmodel 
Journal or Model Railroading.  I might be wrong, but I think Jim 
Kindraka might have ramrodded that effort.  I remember photographing 
RR's SD-7/9, the SHS PS-2's, a couple of issues of Billy Wades magazine, 
maybe some Omnicon F unit kits and ???  So this effort might have 
pre-dated the brochure referenced below.  I recall using a couple of the 
Houston S Gauger's modules that I built for the set.  I just felt I 
needed to set the record straight in that the S Manufacturers (whomever 
they consider members) have made some efforts to promote the scale since 
1949.
