Peter,

I have been reporting of my layout construction progress that is somewhere
in between S-Mod and sectional. Nonetheless it is intended to be my
"permanent layout". No matter how you want to "brand" it, my layout is going
to be MOVABLE!

In the "if I ever get there" category, I have thoughts about utilizing my
almost 20 year old S-Mod yard module
http://www.lanestrains.com/S_Scale_Modules.htm as a branch line/off line
storage. This yard needs refurbing with new stall switch machines to make it
work better. I will have walking space around the circumference of my layout
that will take up most of the center of the basement. Among other things I
would have to make a "jump across" track to take it to the walls and make it
happen. It is all very far in the future, but would make for great
additional layout operational possibilities while still having the ability
to take the yard out on the road.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
