No, to further confuse the nomenclature, what you are talking about was an 
offshoot of Intermountain Models, and the IMWX business was INNOVATIVE Model 
Works, and while I 
cannot speak for what they did in HO, their O scale offerings were different 
lettering schemes of the Intermountain cars (I still have at least half a dozen 
on the shelf) before I/M
sold their O scale dies to Atlas.  Red Caboose was a mostly-independent 
business owned by Bill McClung, although connected to I/M apparently for 
developing dies and perhaps
actually manufacturing (injection-molding machines being expensive and 
benefiting from greater utilization).

If I recall correctly, the caboose in question was not the ATSF (e.g., Lionel 
trainset kind) steel end cupola caboose but a center cupola steel on the order 
of the "Northeastern" (i.e.,
Reading/LV/WM).

In any event, I think we are agreed that the "I" is for Industrial.
