Hi --
I built one of the “PS-0” style boxcar kits he produced. The sides were a
scale foot shorter than the roof and the door was not centered in the side.
The “ladders” were a grid of ribs in a solid sheet. As an enterprising
modeler, I managed to put together a basic car that is still an interesting
piece of equipment. Other than the roof, ends and sides, everything else
is from another source. After I wrote him about what I thought of his kit
and how to improve it, he wrote back a nasty note and left the S scale
market. Whether or not it was coincidence, I don’t know...
