Just posted pix of a Buffalo Creek boxcar built with a LWS kit in Rooney bin of Files section.
More than one of you said it best: "that is all we had then" and from a vantage point thirty years later we didn't do too bad (working door tracks and HO decals excepted in this case.) Jan was experimenting with this hand cranked injection molding machine and the quality and shrinkage were an issue. Somewhere along he decided to throw in HO brake gear as "close enough". That's how you can tell it was LWS. Enjoy those un-built kits someday! J.
