You'll have to count me in on that priority thing. Even when I was building the 
LWS engines, I had to finally7 say "good enough!" 

One thing I always wanted to do to the Alco RS-1's was cut a scale foot out of 
the long hood section to make them correct length. I also wanted to put better 
looking trucks under them, but that never happened either. However, neither 
shortcoming appears to affect their otherwise superb performance, or even 
appearance in an operating context.

I finally realized that I was not going to be able to put working air brakes on 
my rolling stock )although I have some with working brake rigging) and have an 
operating layout. Even that does not meet the criteria I would like to employ 
for realistic track, but, hey, it works and it doesn't look that bad. There are 
some standards that even I will not stoop below!
