Hi Pieter and all ---

Nice job on the cars! I hope that there will be a time when I can go back and
re-step all those SHS cars that have undersized stirrups. I recently bought a
bunch of parts from SHS to upgrade my AM hoppers, something that needs to be
done before I can paint and decal them.

For my part, this week’s progress included new benchwork and the installation
of the town of Coal Creek (track only at this point), which was the only real
salvage from the old SLE&P. I now can build the narrow gauge mainline when
the new coal transfer and related scenery are done in the NW corner of the
room, and will be able to set the grade up to Coal Creek. I also managed to
detail two of the coal transfer buildings and they are now ready for paint.
As mentioned in an earlier post, I have also been prepping for the Sac’to
convention, getting stuff together for the auction, the NASG awards, and a
“clinic” (more of a discussion) that I am supposed to give. Whew!

Have fun!
