I too Use SHS couplers on SHS equipment.  I find SHS cuuplers  difficult to 
apply to some AM cars and locomotives.  In fact, I find any  kind of scale 
coupler difficult to apply to most AM locomotives and to some  freight cars.

My personal feelings  are that that entire coupler box is a terrible 
design. The old #5 done  slightly larger perhaps with the more modern 
whisker designed springs, put  in a normal plastic box would have made me 
very happy. IMHO the 802's  really offered very little in benefits 
except better coupling with  vertical differences.
