BOISE MODEL RAILROADERS TO REPRESENT IDAHO

A Treasure Valley model railroading group, the Rocky Mountain Hi-Railers,
will be Idaho's ambassadors to the 2011 National Train Show in California.
The club, which models in "S" scale (1:64), is taking its award-winning
portable model railroad layout, "Lookout Junction," to the show at the
Sacramento Convention Center, July 8-10, where there will be over 134,000
square feet of railroad displays and vendor booths. Lookout Junction is one
of 29 model railroad layouts participating, and will be the only layout at
the National Train Show from the Northwest.

The club's 550-square-foot modular display runs four trains simultaneously
on nearly 400 feet of track over two levels, and is crammed with scenery and
operating accessories. Its 23 connecting tables are transported in a
three-axle trailer, and the layout takes about five hours to completely set
up.
