I am having an absolute blast putting track down - almost for the first time ever in S Scale. My previous attempts were my original 20 ' long S-Mod yard module which was hand laid track entirely. This side is going to be the passenger themed straight. I will be able to PARK a passenger train that is 11 feet long! It could be significantly longer if I tied up the leads. I will have room for 3 trains in the station area at 1 time and still function unencumbered with my freight bypass idea. I am going to extend the current station platform sidewalks about 4 more feet. My future challenge is going to be portraying the "station" with about 2" space on the backdrop wall. I figure it will be backdrop flats of some sort with walkover steps and "umbrella" platform roofs. More photos to come when I have big progress to show..
