Good afternoon, all. I hope the summer is going well for you and that you're
getting some model railroading done.

I just did some updating of the 1:64 Modeling Guide Website. The Spring, 2011
issue (Volume 11, Number 4) is out and I know that 1st Class mail and
international subscribers have received their copy. The standard rate US mail
subscribers may be receiving theirs by now as well. For non-subscribers, note
that only 11 copies remain so if you want one, act fast.

>From time to time I get questions from standard rate mail subscribers about
>why it takes so long to receive their issues. Simply put, this is a lower
>priority class of mail and it takes the US Postal Service longer to process
>and delivered these pieces. I offer a standard mail subscription rate mainly
>because it saves me a LOT of money on postage. I have to do a lot of prep
>work that the USPS usually does to get the discount, but believe me, the
>savings is worth the work.

Regrettably, I did not make it to Sacramento--my car saw to that (hit me up for
$2,300 in repairs in May, wiping out the funds I put aside)! From what I have
heard and read, it was a great convention. Some attendees have posted a
"report" on this and other S lists. I would appreciate it if someone who was
there would prepare something for our "From the Observation Lounge" column for
the Summer issue, 800-1200 words. Please contact me off list, if you're
interested.

I also need good photos for inclusion in "Your PicS" section. I see photos
posted online all the time, so I know they're out there. Please make sure that
the photos are high quality and unaltered by Photoshop or other computer photo
enhancement software. I also need some layout profiles. $5 a pop to you, if
published. Needless to say, they should not have already been published in the
commercial press, or the NASG "Dispatch".

Work is continuing on the e-Feature articles that I plan to have available for
sale sometime in August. I'll be providing more details about this new product
line in the near future.

I have a couple of fantastic feature articles in the pipeline for the next
couple of issues, but I can always use more. I know I owe a couple of list
members some answers on past article inquiries. I haven't forgotten about you!

Finally, it's no secret that the advertising revenue that the prior owner
enjoyed has been largely absent since I took over the publication. That means
that timely subscription renewals are that much more critical. Please renew
timely when you receive your renewal invoice.

As always, I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,
Bob Nalbone
