Friends,
Within the last month or so, on one of the lists I subscribe, I came
across the name of Live Oak, Perry and Gulf. With a little research I
found the actual railroad existed as a lumber hauler in Florida that was
later acquired by the Southern.
Some years ago, our local pusher of trains, Tom Henderson (SideTracks)
sold me a caboose lettered for that railroad. I thought it was a
"modeler's name" railroad, so I repainted and relettered it to suit may
needs. The caboose was apparently scratch built and very well at that.
I would like to know who built it and it might interest the builder to
know that it has a second life on my railroad sporting the C&NW logo.
