Thanks for the very kind words, Butch.

Your post, in a nutshell... is one of the reasons for my hesitancy to REALLY
commit to resuming modeling my proto-lanced KC&G theme, albeit in S scale
this time. To wit:

When I go to the effort to build a replica of a favorite prototype engine: I
get to again see some of the look and feel of the trains I watched as a kid
in KC. There's a certain amount of gratification found every time I view
it/run it that I just can't get from watching one of my proto-lanced models.
Sure, via my KC&G theme, I have the flexibility to adapt to what models are
available... but again... it's a fantasy theme: It didn't exist... and I
know it.

I think many here would understand what I'm speaking of.

Ah, decisions, decisions.

However, I "hope" to be in this S thing for the long haul (in spite of my
sporadic nature)... so whether or not I paint a KC&G NW2 next, or build a
Frisco DS-4-4-1000, or a Mop S-12... whatever... there'll be ample
opportunity to enjoy (create) more S stuff if I so desire.

(BTW: I'm NOT just typing/posting today. In fact, as I type this, I'm
waiting for glue to dry on a piece of rolling stock so it can be added to
the "fleet" and await weathering!)
