The 44-tonner project is nearing completion. Phase 4 production is ongoing
and first shipments will be made next Friday; Phase 1 production will start
next week but shipments won't start for at least 3 weeks.
The SAL B7 boxcar design will start about mid-August in HO, then upscaled to
S about mid-September.
Research for the GP38 has been ongoing for a few months as time permitted,
which hasn't been much. Based on initial responses to my list inquiries, a
GP38 has a decent following so makes sense to move on with it. If you are
interested in purchasing this engine, please contact me off list. Target
retail price is $395 + shipping. Each kit will contain a 1-pc body,
separate underframe, mechanism, details and injection molded handrail
stanchions with wire for the railings. So far, it appears only the
scale-wheel option will be offered since there was almost no interest for an
AF-compatible truck.
