Thanks for the information.  A quick google search returned a few hits.
This article in the B&O modeler on building an HO transfer version
is quite interesting
   http://www.borhs.org/modelermag/BO_Modeler_6_2010_JulAug.pdf

It indicates the I-1 cabooses existed from 1913-1970.  Anyone interested
in more details should review the article...

All 3 options are quite tempting...Might go well with a SHS 2-8-0 ;-)

I will answer for Bob, Yes they are still available, just email Bob at 
[email protected] and place your order. The caboose comes in 3 
versions, the "as delivered" this the early version and is like the one 
posted in the photo section, the "wide porch with hanging steps" version 
which was is more modern, and a "transfer" version without a copula. Bob 
also offers decals, truck, and brake rigging as options.
