I had a nibble on the Katy car, but first come first served. As far as "price", I would like to trade them for unpainted American Models boxcars. Since many modelers have these stashed away, and they are approaching $40.00 a car new, I thought exchanging cars would be a good way to benefit all concerned. However, if someone on the group has some unpainted boxcars they would like to sell, whatever they are asking is what I would want on an outright sale. Don't worry about postage and handling, I consider that a "cost of doing business", and it is sure a lot cheaper than buying a car outright. Disclaimer! I'm not trying to step on the toes of any of our mfrs and suppliers. I am just trying to rearrange my rolling stock roster to more accurately meet my needs. Since Rock Island is next on my list of "must have" road names, either boxcars (any brand) or AM hopper cars, I may have more opportunities in the future.
