Dateline Aug 23, 12:11 PM Good morning everyone! (Workin' nights this week... it sucks.) Figured I'd lump all of my replies into one email. Thus, you only have to wipe your boots off once when my BS'n is over.
(Time out: Wife's home for lunch. My only time to see her for the next 24 hours.) Okay... back to some really serious business: My replies. PUTTY HINT: Earl: Glad you found some value in it! One thing to note: IF you have an unwanted hole to fill... try a dab of 5 minute from underneath, swishing the goop up through the hole. Less excess goop to deal with once it sets. Yup, "Ming The Merciless" (he lived on the planet "Mong") was supposed to be a diabolical character in the 1930's "Flash Gordon" episodes. Seeing as the original MTM was corny, overacted, and otherwise a bit silly... thought that adopting the moniker would be quite appropriate given our similarities in name and manner! (Actually, I think someone gave me that nickname on the Sn3 list years ago??) PA REWORK: Shabbona Bob: True, there WERE PA's to be seen in KC in my era (Mop, ATSF, Wabash, ??)... HOWEVER... I have designed my layout to accomodate shorter equipment. My visible mainline curves are 30" radius. For sure, IF there were ever a passenger train on my rails, it would be ONLY for "eye candy" (think: through train), as it would have no purpose (no stations to serve) in my gritty, urban industrial setting. Jonathan: Thanks. I worked REALLY hard to get that PA to the state it's in. As you can see in that pic, my skills are so amazing. I am truly awesome. Pieter: Aw crap... busted. I confess: The work ain't mine. Bob did it. However, I'll take the compliments however I can get 'em. It was fun while it lasted.
