Howdy!

Just finished reserving one of the CHOO CHOO's passenger car rooms.  I
was  informed that essentially each room is half of a HEAVY WEIGHT sleeper that
has been reconfigured as a bedroom with queen size bed with full bath.

We stayed in  one of their regular room for an L&N Convention in 2009.
Thought we would try something different this time.

Also. the hotel is pet friendly and charges a one time fee of $20.00.

Arrive on Sunday before the convention and you will have time to visit the
NMRA, Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, The Tennessee Aquarium, The Wrecker
Museum (Ever seen a HOLMES ROLLBACK WRECKER?), the local battlefields of the
War of Northern Aggression,<G>  (Yes, we never forget!<G>), and numerous other
sites right in the area.

Sounds like a PR release from Chamber of Commerce, but their really is a
lot to do nearby.  You might even want to visit MOON PIE production facilities!

Robin and my first NASG convention was at San Jose in 1977. It was not
a very big convention. But, we met so many new friends that are still our
friends 34 years later. I know I do not have to mention them, they know who
they are. Going there was one of the best smartest decisions we ever made...
