I'm looking forward to receiving my UP version and hearing Jim's positive
comments about the pilot model just re-inforces why I reserved one. I know of
few builders who hit is out of the park consistently as Boo Rim does. In other
gauges it's a crap roll whether or not a model lives up to all the advertising
hype. Sadly, many times the model comes in short. I just experienced that with
some O scale E units that had some glaring mistakes that the importer wouldn't
admit to. I've never heard of that happening with a Boo Rim product.

The P-48 guys rave about the Boo Rim/Glacier Park O scale models, and they, by
choice, are a group of very picky fellows. I think this speaks volumns about a
builder RRM has used for many, many years.

I can understand Jim's frustrations about loyalty too! RRM took the baton from
OMI and hasn't stopped running since. I'm sure there were scary times in the
beginning and considering the size of our market every new offering has to
include considerable apprehension for RRM.

I think I can safely say if it wasn't for the likes of RRM, SHS, AM, SSA and
past companies like PRS, Southwind and a host of other unsung heros that slip
my mind right now, S scale would still be converting AF locos and cars to scale
operation.

Dance with the one that brung ya!
