Hi Don,

I can't yet find the 1:64 US Coast Guard Revenue Cutter which you mentioned,
but, if I can, or if anyone else can and direct me to it, I believe I already
have the perfect prototype selected.

I'm currently working on RC 1:96 scale Revell model's of the USS Kearsarge and
CSS Alabama. While working on these models, I've noticed how similar the hulls
of the Kearsarge and Alabama are to the USRCS Bear and began thinking about
creating a model of the `Bear' out of a Kearsarge of Alabama hull after I
finish my models of the Alabama and Kearsarge.

Since the Alabama and Kearsarge are currently out of production, the kits are
rather rare and I wouldn't feel right altering one of these rare kits. My
initial plan was to try to find an unfinished hull in which someone else had
given up and/or pieces were missing (since, other than the hull, most pieces
would either not be needed or would be easily re-created), but it'd be even
better if I could find a complete kit in 1:64.

 Anyway, here are some pictures of the USRCS Bear AG-29 in her WWII
configuration, which I hope to replicate in either 1:64 or 1:96 (note the
seaplane on the fantail);
