Hi all --

Other than where the sun set today, it could still be summer as our temps for
today reached near record highs (90). Normal for the day is 78...

This did not deter several visitors from the NMRA / PSR regional meet to drive
the 90 miles to Prescott Valley and visit the SLE&P. I had one (with wife)
come by on Tuesday, and three more (plus one wife) come by today. The trains
ran perfectly, even impressing me! I also spent yesterday in Flagstaff (the
meet location) delivering a bunch of NASG / S scale literature to be handed out
to interested persons. Remnants will be picked up by Phil Scandura tomorrow
when he picks up his S scale “Flagstaff” diorama. Nelson Steinmetz also had a
ATSF freight train on static display featuring one of the AM ATSF 2900 class
4-8-4s and a SWM caboose, plus he had a diorama of an S scale section house
complex, so S has been well represented.

As previously mentioned, the first aspects of scenery have come to the SLE&P.
Still pretty scant, but there has been a radical justification of why the track
is where it is for part of the railroad, at least. As part of that, and at
the inspiration my wife gave me, a siding was realigned and elevated. This
solved several issues at one time, so I am indebted to her insight.

Hope everyone is missed by the falling satellite debris!

Have fun!
